Casaccia was originally the barn of the main farmhouse, lived in by Seboo, the painter son of Donata Origo, and his family. The old cowshed had been used as an atelier for many years and was recently converted into a comfortable 3 bedroom family house surrounded by and overlooking the unspoilt Orcia Valley.
Although close by, Casaccia is completely separated from the main house, with a garden of its own and a secluded terrace for outdoor meals and sunbathing offering the most wonderful view over the crete senesi (clay hills), the valley and the mountain beyond. The Casaccia guests share the pool (mt.12x6) with the owner's family, as well as the playground with swings and a sandbox. Paths starting out from the house lead to wonderful walks both into the wild clay hills and the woods.
A charming mix of laid-back comfort and Tuscan furniture gives the house a warm and friendly atmosphere. The open kitchen's living area leads directly onto the garden terrace through french doors. An outdoors and an indoors dining table make for pleasant family dinners and cooking events. A wood burning oven can be used for pizza meals or baking your own bread.
The house has 2 double and one twin bedroom, each room with its own bathroom.
